Covideo Mobile App Updates

New Features

AI Features: We are thrilled to introduce the next generation of video communication. Our AI features are built around three core goals: helping you Create high-quality content, Accelerate your response times, and Enhance the professional look of every message.

  • Quick Video – Our fastest workflow yet. The videos consist of a dealership video (pre-made assets for the entire team) and a user video from a personal library or quick response videos. Admins configure these video types in the back office. Adding a recipient and vehicle affects the automatically generated script for email and SMS.

  • Auto-Stabilization: The app now detects your device's hardware and automatically sets video stabilization to the highest supported level for smooth footage without lag.

  • AI Music – Add the perfect vibe to your message. AI-generated background music automatically balances its volume against video audio, ensuring the music enhances—rather than overpowers—your message.

More soon to come!

Enhancements

Video Recording & Editing

  • Pre-upload Preview: Review your masterpiece before it goes live with a new preview screen added before the upload.

    • Quick Audio: Manage sound to your videos directly without entering full Video Editor Mode.

  • Unified Gallery Experience: Adding clips during recording is now more intuitive with a unified gallery interface across all sources.

User Experience & Navigation

  • Smart Library Navigation: The app now remembers your last used folder location. When you enter the Library, you’ll land exactly in the last you used.

  • Streamlined Password Reset: The reset password screen now requires only a Username. Email input has been removed.

  • Improved Internet Connection Alerts: Old banner messages have been replaced with Modals. These trigger once per upload and won't interrupt you during the recording flow.

  • Cleaned up Menu: The "Reports" section has been moved under the "More" tab for users with a lead dashboard or Quick Videos.

  • Language Support: Added French and Spanish translations for all default folders.

Lead Management

  • Smart Contact Validation: The app now automatically detects if a lead can receive a video. If a contact has no valid email/SMS or has opted out, the "Send/Share" buttons will be greyed out with an explanatory message on the lead card.

  • Quick Video Selection: We’ve expanded the selectable area for video types. Videos requiring specific input are now highlighted with shading for better visibility.

  • Video Count Update: The "Video Count" button has been moved directly above the "Create Video" button and updated to "[Number] Sent" for better clarity.

Analytics & Support

  • Enhanced Team Stats: The "My Team Stats" widget now matches the online version and displays the total number of sent videos by the team, rather than just unique videos.

  • Direct Support Links: If your inventory integration is inactive, you’ll now see a helpful message with direct contact info (800-306-1445 or support@covideo.com) to get it activated quickly.

Bugfixes

  • Sharing Permissions: Fixed a crash/stall issue that occurred when attempting to share another user’s AI Quick Video. Sharing is now properly disabled for non-owners.

  • HDR10+ Compatibility: Resolved a crash caused by using the HDR10+ codec on native videos.

  • Account Notifications: Fixed an issue where users with multiple Covideo accounts were not consistently receiving notifications.

Covideo Backoffice Updates

Enhancements

  • Search logic enhancement in multi-location manager: Perform "reverse searches" by entering a specific Store Name or Store ID to instantly identify its Parent Account or Automotive Group.

  • Smart folder landing: Instead of defaulting to the Primary Folder in the Library, the system will now remember and "land" you in the folder you last accessed.

  • Dealership map can now be displayed on every landing page by default: This moves away from the previous logic where a vehicle attachment was required to trigger the map view.

  • Delete system-default Video Types: Admins now have the freedom to delete these defaults and replace them entirely with their own custom labels.

  • Download and save images from Covideo SMS

  • Group and user data cleanup:

    • When you delete a group, you’ll have the option to delete all associated contacts

    • Any user names entered in ALL CAPS are now automatically converted to proper case

    • The system automatically removes trailing whitespaces from names, emails, usernames, titles, and phone extensions upon saving.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a layout issue where the "Switch to Classic editor" button was being obstructed by the video player during annotation editing. The button is now fully visible and layered correctly.
